Over the last couple of months, artist Page Smith has been installing faux gems made from paper in the nooks and crannies of LA. The result is beautiful and unexpected.

Magnetic Nail Polish — Urban Outfitters (by uotv)

How cool is this?!?! Nail polish that with iron particles that are pulled towards the surface when the  magnet in the cap is held over the nail, creating an awesome pattern.

Textured and patterned nails are really in this season. I’m glad to see people getting creative with nail polish.

Superhumanoids- “Geri”

This is the first song from the upcoming LP, Exhibitionists. They remind me a bit of the Human League. I love almost any 80s-esque synth pop. This isn’t the real music video, but I love the old footage of Serge Gainsbourg.

Non-sign II is an installation by seattle based art collective Lead Pencil Studio located at the Canada-US border near Vancouver. The sculpture is made from small stainless steel rods that are assembled together to create the negative space of a billboard. While most billboards draw attention away from the landscape, Non-sign II frames the landscape, focusing attention back on it.

Currently obsessed with haute couture designer Iris van Herpen. Her “fang” shoes from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection have ten sharp fangs to each foot and the design of the wedge is so complex that the fangs have to be made from fiberglass and carbon fiber.
